Security News The Security News is a collection of security news items from a variety of different sources. It’s designed to be valuable to a variety of audiences – agency managers, technical staff, security staff, development staff, or technology and policy planners – anyone that might find the information useful. The news includes articles on topics such as general cyber security news, software announcements, cyber security education, homeland security, and cyber crime. The Security News is usually published every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Simply send an email to subscribe.

US-CERT Established in 2003 to protect the nation's Internet infrastructure, US-CERT coordinates defense against and responses to cyber attacks across the nation. The US-CERT provides both technical and non-technical alerts and information, and in addition provides information specific to local, state, and federal government agencies as well as Control Systems Security Programs (SCADA, PCS, DCS, etc.) across the nation.
SANS Internet Storm Center The SANS ISC provides free analysis and warning service to thousands of Internet users and organizations, and is actively working with Internet Service Providers to fight back against the most malicious attackers. The ISC relies on an all-volunteer effort to detect problems, analyze the threat, and disseminate both technical as well as procedural information to the general public.
SANS The SANS (SysAdmin, Audit, Network, Security) Institute is a cooperative research and education organization, and provides the information security community with a wide variety of educational resources. SANS publishes a Top Twenty Vulnerability list annually, hosts the Reading Room - a collection of security papers covering a wide variety of topics, and offers many exceptional educational and training opportunities. |
